New Business...

I have a new business idea but do not know if it will work or not. I think I may start up a Designated Driver Service. The business would be like a taxi service for drunks. Sound stupid?

Sounds like a good idea. However, I don't think your volume of business would offset your cost of operation, though.

thats what i was thinking...maybe if we lived in a larger area where there were more bars...but heck i thought about doing it just on weekends...

That service is available in Blacksburg. It's called Hooptie Ride. They have pimped out cars & vans. Works well.

I agree it would be a very valuable and potentially profitable service in the right market. In our neck of the woods, I don't think you'd have enough demand to support it.

Honestly around here I dont think it would work. What I think would be a great idea is to open up some type of bar around the college in Wise. You would get all kinds of business plus you'd get some business on Fridays when people went to High School games.

i dont think people of wise would like to have a bar in the town...they used to have the touchdown...

Thats the problem back here nobody wants their town to improve. For some reason they thyink a bar is very sinful and will lead to sinful activities. Wake up, if they dont drink in a bar they will drink at home and do whatever they want.
